The USAlert WatchDog Pager Battery Charger can charge two sets of three NiMH (Nickel Metal Hydride) batteries at the same time. One set can be installed and charged in a WatchDog Pager and another set can be charged in the spare battery compartment at the rear of the Battery Charger. The WatchDog Battery Charger is both a smart charger that detects battery levels and adjusts the charging rate accordingly, as well as a rapid charger that gets a fully discharged set of batteries back to an operational level in a minimum amount of time. The typical battery recharge time is about 2 hours for a moderately discharged set of three. For completely discharged batteries, recharge time should be about 3-4 hours. If a set of batteries is being charged while installed in a WatchDog Pager and the pager is turned on, the pager will still draw a small amount of current and the charging time will be slightly increased. The WatchDog Battery Charger is compatible with both USAlert WatchDog and WatchDog LT pagers.
The USAlert WatchDog Charger with Antenna is designed to be used in situations where the WatchDog Pager is charging but may need additional signal strength to alert the pager. The WatchDog Charger with Antenna is the same device as a standard WatchDog Charger, but has a BNC connector built into the back of the housing for attaching a cable to an external antenna. The paging signal is then routed from the antenna to the charging WatchDog Pager. The Charger with Antenna is compatible with both USAlert WatchDog and WatchDog LT Pagers.
The USAlert WatchDog LT Pager Battery Charger is built to recharge both a WatchDog LT Pager and a spare set of three NiMH (Nickel Metal Hydride) batteries, either separately or together. The LT Battery Charger is both a rapid charger and a smart charger, being able to detect voltage levels and adjust the charging rate accordingly. Rapid charging from a completely discharged state should take about 3-4 hours. A typical recharge time for moderately discharged batteries is about 2 hours. If the WatchDog LT Pager remains in service and is powered on while charging, the recharge time will be slightly longer due to current being drawn by the pager. USAlert WatchDog and WatchDog LT Pagers are both compatible with the LT Battery Charger.
The USAlert WatchDog LT Pager Charger with Antenna is meant to be used when the WatchDog LT Pager is recharging, is turned on, and the paging system signal strength may not be quite enough to alert the pager. Adding a local Antenna Assembly to the WatchDog LT Charger will improve the signal reception and should resolve the issue. The WatchDog LT Charger with Antenna is a standard WatchDog LT Charger with additional circuitry for routing the improved paging signal to the pager and a mounted BNC connector for attaching the Antenna and Antenna Cable to the Charger. Both USAlert WatchDog and WatchDog LT Pagers can be used interchangeably in the LT Charger with Antenna.
The TPL Birdy WP Charger is an option that is offered for the Birdy WP Alphanumeric Pager. Although the pager is powered by a standard “AA” alkaline battery, a Birdy WP Charger is available if a rechargeable “AA” battery is preferred as the power source. The Charger package has an AC power adapter included.
The TPL Birdy WP Charger with Antenna is similar to the TPL Birdy WP Charger, but has an additional built-in connector for external antenna operation. The primary purpose of the WP Charger with Antenna is to improve message reception in weak signal strength locations while the pager is charging. Although the Birdy WP pager is shipped with a standard “AA” battery as the power source, there may be situations where a rechargeable battery and charger would be a better solution.
The TPL Birdy Slim Desktop Charger is a standard item included along with a 3.7 VDC, 700 ma Lithium-Ion rechargeable battery in every Birdy Slim Pager package. A blue LED light strip located on the front base of the Desktop Charger indicates the unit is powered on.
The TPL Birdy Slim Programmer package contains a cradle that is a combination of a programmer and charger, Birdy programming software, and a micro-USB to USB programming cable. The programming cradle is very similar in appearance to the Birdy Slim Charger cradle. The main difference between the two is the LED strip light of the programmer and charger cradle is green while the charger-only cradle LED strip light is blue.
A TPL Birdy 3G Desktop Charger is included in the standard package with every Birdy 3G pager. An AC power adapter is also part of the package and provides power to the Charger. The 3G Desktop Charger is designed to recharge the Birdy 3G pager’s 3.7 VDC, 1300 ma Lithium-Ion battery.
The TPL Birdy 3G Charger with Antenna is a standard 3G Desktop Charger with an added connector and circuitry for an external antenna. The Charger with Antenna is designed for situations where you would like to improve message reception in a weak signal area while the 3G pager is charging.
The Gearstar Pager Battery Charger is a standalone unit that can recharge up to 10 Gearstar Pagers stacked on top of each other with the Battery Charger at the bottom of the stack. A Gearstar Pager’s rechargeable battery can only be charged while in a Gearstar Pager. To begin charging, a 5 VDC 1.2A wall adapter is connected to the Battery Charger and an external AC power source. The Charger’s power LED should light. The first Gearstar Pager can then be placed on the Charger by lining up the charging contacts and lightly pushing the pager down into position. Additional Gearstar Pagers can be stacked on top of each other. The power LED of each pager will light if the pager is stacked correctly and will remain on during the charging cycle. When fully charged, the pager’s power LED will turn off. The Gearstar Battery Charger will not damage the batteries by overcharging.
