The front of the WatchDog Battery Charger has three LED indicator lights. The green LED is the power indicator and the two red LED’s show the charging status, one for a charging WatchDog Pager and one for the spare battery compartment. The red LED’s will flash on and off while charging with a properly inserted WatchDog Pager and spare batteries. When charging is nearly complete, the corresponding red LED will begin flashing at a faster rate. When fully charged, the red LED will stay on continuously. To maintain the batteries in a fully charged state, the charger then enters a trickle charge mode until the pager or spare batteries are removed.
WARNING: DO NOT RECHARGE ALKALINE BATTERIES.
The WatchDog Battery Charger has been designed to recharge NiMH batteries only. Charging alkaline batteries in the WatchDog Battery Charger is potentially dangerous and could result in battery explosion. Use only rechargeable NiMH batteries and discard any damaged batteries appropriately.
