TPL Birdy WP Charger with Antenna

The TPL Birdy WP Charger with Antenna is similar to the TPL Birdy WP Charger, but has an additional built-in connector for external antenna operation. The primary purpose of the WP Charger with Antenna is to improve message reception in weak signal strength locations while the pager is charging. Although the Birdy WP pager is shipped with a standard “AA” battery as the power source, there may be situations where a rechargeable battery and charger would be a better solution.

Manufacturer: TPL

If important messages need to be received and the system transmitter’s output power is not strong enough to alert the pager consistently, a user could optionally decide to use a rechargeable battery and a Charger with Antenna to ensure message reception.

An AC power adapter is included with each WP Charger. The external antenna for use with the Charger is designed for peak performance at 173 MHz but should still be operational for most other frequencies. Custom frequency antennas are available upon request.

If a message is received while the pager is charging, a red LED indicator will begin flashing. The WP Charger with Antenna allows external contact relay operation through a rear-panel connection. Typical charging time is expected to be about 5 hours.
