To install the Birdy Slim programming software, the computer must first be running a Windows operating system (XP, 7, 8, 8.1, or 10, 32 or 64 bits) and have a USB port available. The Birdy Slim Programming Manual can be referenced as a guide for the installation.
Note: If this is the first installation, do not connect the computer to the programming cradle at this point. The USB drivers may not configure correctly. You will be prompted to make the connection at the appropriate time.
Insert the provided programming CD into the PC’s CD or DVD drive. Alternatively, download the “TPLpagers v x.xx.x.x.zip” file from the USAlert website and extract the programming files. Run the file named “setup_TPLpagers_x.xx.exe” and follow the Setup Wizard instructions. The Birdy Slim Programming Manual has information to configure the pager with desired features and options.
