The WatchDog LT can be used in radio systems that require tone alerting and channel monitoring, typically first-responders and public safety. The pager has 15 addresses per channel, 10 standard addresses for 2 tones and 5 addresses for a single long tone. The LT operates with two top-mounted control knobs, a 4-position function switch and an On/Off volume control. The four positions of the function switch can be individually programmed for call alerting or monitoring available channels, three alert types, and three scan types. The volume control can be used to adjust for loud alert levels and clear audio output as well as turning the pager on and off.
The current WatchDog LT models include Voice Memory with the pager capable of storing up to 4 minutes of voice messages. Stored messages are retained when the pager is powered off or when the batteries are removed. Important messages can be protected and stored message playback can be selected from front panel buttons. The LT runs on three “AAA” rechargeable batteries but can also use standard alkaline “AAA” batteries in an emergency. The belt clip has been specifically designed to be removable. In cases where the pager’s back cover or belt clip are damaged, replacement parts can be shipped to the customer rather than having the unit sent in for repair.
