Rechargeable NiMH Battery for WatchDog LT Pager

The USAlert Rechargeable Batteries for the WatchDog LT Pager consist of three individual “AAA” NiMH (Nickel Metal Hydride) cells and come standard with each WatchDog LT Pager. A rechargeable NiMH battery type is preferred for small electronic devices that require strong power and are used frequently. Although the NiMH batteries are rechargeable, their useful life decreases gradually over time. Battery performance may be reduced after 12-18 months of use, so replacing the batteries at regular intervals is strongly recommended. The WatchDog LT Rechargeable Batteries are rated at 1100 mA/hr and are typically shipped in packs of three. Lower capacity batteries or batteries of lesser quality have been found to create performance issues in the WatchDog LT Pager. Replacing the Rechargeable Batteries with new batteries of the same 1100 mA/hr capacity ensures continued pager operation at peak efficiency.

Normal recharging should take about 2 hours to complete, 3-4 hours if the batteries are recharging from a fully discharged state.  Once fully recharged, the WatchDog LT Pager should be able to operate in Selective Call mode (or Standby mode) for 48 hours or 6 days at 8 hours per day, based on the industry standard of 5 thirty second calls per 8 hour day.  Battery life will obviously vary with operational use.  Monitoring or scanning channels uses more battery power, the amount of power depending heavily on the activity of the monitored or scanned channel(s).

The Rechargeable Batteries for the WatchDog LT Pager are the primary power source for both the WatchDog LT and WatchDog Pagers and are interchangeable.  Damaged batteries may produce unpredictable results and should be replaced.
