Hytera PD702G-UL913 Digital Portable Radio

The PD702G-UL913 is an intrinsically safe Digital Portable Radio designed for use by those professionals who must work in potentially dangerous and hazardous conditions. The intrinsically safe certification means the portable radio complies with some of the world’s strictest safety standards. The PD702G should be used by those working in environments with explosive gases or combustible dusts where the use of standard radios may not be safe. The UL913 protection designation of Class I, II, III DIV I Group C-G -22° F to 131° F T4 is further described in the Intrinsically Safe brochure. The rugged and reliable PD702G also complies with the IP67 requirements for withstanding dust and water intrusion as well as meeting the MIL-STD-810 C/D/E/F/G requirements for radio operation in harsh environments.

Manufacturer: Hytera

We offer the PD702G model that has an integrated GPS module and antenna. This allows the radio to interface with the Hytera Dispatch System or other 3rd party GPS dispatching services. Accessories that come standard with the intrinsically safe portable radio include an IS certified Li-Ion battery, a MCU Rapid-rate Charger, a power adapter, antenna, belt clip and leather strap. The large Li-Ion battery is rated at 2400 maHr and should last for approximately 21 hours when operating under a 5/5/90 duty cycle. To ensure intrinsically safe portable radio certification, the IS battery must be used. The PD702G is available in VHF or UHF frequency ranges, has a channel capacity of 1024, and has both Low and High settings for Transmit Power Output. The unit is 4.9 x 2.2 x 1.4 inches and weighs 11.8 oz.

The PD702G is rich in features for both voice and data communications. The PTT, volume, channel knobs and programmable buttons are easy to operate, even when wearing gloves. A patented battery latch is designed to keep the battery in place even when the radio is dropped. Pseudo Trunk is a virtual trunking feature that allocates a free timeslot for emergency situations. Secure communications are accomplished not only by the encryption inherent to digital technology, but also by enhanced encryption capabilities with a 256-bit encryption algorithm. Scrambling techniques are used for analog communications. Roaming and scan capability are also features of the PD702G portable radio.

Superior voice quality is achieved through the use of AGC (automatic gain control) and digital error correction technologies, ensuring clear and crisp communications even in noisy environments or at the edge of the coverage area. Voice call types include Private Call, Group Call, All Call and Emergency Call. A vibrating alert can be used to notify the radio operator of incoming voice calls and text messages. The PD702G can be updated with upgradeable software. Features can be enhanced and new features added without needing to purchase a new radio.
