The 2000 maHr long lasting battery yields approximately 12 hours of operation under a 5-5-90 duty cycle in digital mode and approximately 10 hours in analog mode. The PD362 is easily charged through its Micro-USB Port by using a standard USB to Micro USB cable. The digital portable radio is available in the 430 – 470 MHz UHF frequency range, has a channel capacity of 256, and transmit output power settings of 1.5W and 3W. The PD362 is 4.8 x 2.2 x 0.9 inches and weighs 5.6 oz.
A few features of the PD362 include four programmable buttons, a high quality speaker for producing clear audio output, and a two-line monochrome display that allows good visibility even under bright light conditions. The radio is capable of scanning pure analog voice and signaling, pure digital voice and data, and also mix mode of both analog and digital signals. Voice communication includes Private Call, Group Call, All Call, and Emergency Call. The One Touch Call/Text feature can be used with pre-programmed text messages and voice calls. The PD362 supports text messaging up to 64 characters.
