Configuring a message on the WL740T is accomplished through the WiPath “LED Config” software application. Various combinations of options can be selected to display the message in a particular way. The message can be displayed in a single color like red, green, orange, amber, or a mix of many colors. Message alignment can be left, middle, or right and five speed options exist for message movement. Multiple font choices are available for differing character size, shading, and width. A great selection of over 25 messaging styles can make the displayed message stand out. Some of these styles are named Flash, Roll Down, Roll Left, Wipe Right, Cycle Color, Starburst, and Snow. After message completion, it can be paused for 0 to 9 seconds before beginning again.
The configured message can be uploaded to the WL740T LED sign either directly through the WiPath “LED Config” software or by alphanumeric message through the paging interface. The connection with the “LED Config” software already exists when selecting your message options, and once complete, another button in the software will upload the desired message to the sign. The sign’s paging interface can be configured using the WiPath “PDT3P” software application where the frequency, baud rate, and capcodes are set. Signs located remotely in local or wide-area paging networks and already configured with the “PDT3P” software can then receive alphanumeric pages to reset or update the LED display message.
