WiPath WDT3000 Mobile Data Terminal

The WiPath WDT3000 is a general purpose Mobile Data Terminal designed for use by a vehicle-based or field operator that can be configured for any number of mobile data dispatch or job management situations in the field. The mobile device is fully programmable and can be customized for individual applications. The WDT3000 is compatible with both trunked and conventional 2-way radios, cellular phones, or other wireless data devices such as satellite transceivers. For message and data input, the Mobile Data Terminal includes a full qwerty keypad and a large 5” x 1.5” graphical, sunlight-readable LCD display. The ruggedized aluminum/ABS case has multiple mounting options and when used with a cradle and extendable curly cord, can be removed for easier operation.

Device inputs and outputs include up to 2 serial data ports for communication and peripheral device operation, an audio interface for modem transmit and receive, and an optional I/O expander unit that provides a total of up to 5 serial ports, 1 parallel port and 2 grounded outputs.

The WDT3000 has a highly configurable and structured Job Management software interface for applications such as job dispatch and GPS location acquisition and status reporting.  Some interface fields may be configured ‘over-the-air’. The on-board GPS management system can set location acquisition and data transmission parameters by time or distance, or by stopped/moving events.  There is also an internal geo-fencing capability for automatic status updating.
