Messages can be uploaded to the sign in either of two ways. With the sign connected to a personal computer, “LED Config” programming software allows the user to select from various formats and set up a message. The message can then be uploaded directly to the LED Sign. The second way to upload information is by sending an alphanumeric message through a local or wide-area paging system. The paging interface is configured with “PDT3P” programming software.
The “LED Config” software has a wide variety of fonts, styles, and LED colors to choose from when determining the look of the message. Character size, shading, and width can be combined with a color scheme set as a single color or a mix of multiple colors. Message alignment can be set to the left, right, or middle. For message movement, style options like roll left, roll right, roll in, sparkle, or spray can be configured. The speed of the message scroll can be controlled and once complete, the message can be paused for up to 9 seconds before starting again.
