Rechargeable NiMH Battery for USAlert WatchDog Pager

The USAlert Rechargeable Batteries for the WatchDog Pager are included with each WatchDog Pager as the primary power source, but as with any battery type, they eventually do wear out and have reduced performance over time. Battery life may be affected after 12 - 18 months of use, so it is recommended that the batteries be replaced at regular intervals to maintain optimum pager performance. The WatchDog Pager uses three “AAA” sized NiMH (Nickel Metal Hydride) rechargeable batteries, each rated at 1100 mA/hr. The NiMH rechargeable battery type is the preferred power source for small electronic devices that are used frequently and require high power. Replacement batteries are typically shipped in packs of three. Some alternate rechargeable batteries or batteries with a lower capacity rating have been found to create pager performance issues, so replacing your batteries with 1100 mA/hr capacity batteries is recommended.

Manufacturer: USAlert

Normal battery charging should take about 2 hours to complete.  Two sets of batteries can be charged at the same time in the USAlert WatchDog Pager Charger, one set in the pager itself and another set in the back of the Battery Charger.  Battery life will obviously vary, depending heavily upon the activity of the pager.  On fully recharged batteries, the WatchDog Pager should be able to operate in Selective Call Mode for 48 hours or 6 days at 8 hours/day.  This is based on the industry standard of 5 thirty second calls per 8 hour day.  Charged battery life will be reduced somewhat when in scanning or monitoring mode, depending upon the activity of the scanned or monitored channel(s).

The USAlert Rechargeable Batteries can be used interchangeably with both USAlert WatchDog and WatchDog LT Voice Pagers.  Damaged batteries may produce unpredictable results and should be replaced.
