The PeopleFinder II features a built-in keypad, speaker, microphone, and a 20 character 2- line LCD display. The unit also has two RS-232 serial ports for advanced paging applications, eight alarm inputs for automatic generation of pre-programmed pages, and a built-in telephone interface for remote system access. Pages may be initiated from its numeric keypad, an optional external keyboard, the RS-232 ports, the alarm inputs, or DTMF equipped 2-way radios. For systems containing a large number of pagers, the PeopleFinder’s database may be uploaded or downloaded from a host computer through either of the serial ports for backup purposes and editing.
