128 channels are available that can be configured into 8 memory zones, allowing you to divide and store channels from both local and wide area networks. The radios have narrowband or wideband channel spacing capability, programmable on each channel. An 8-character alphanumeric display can show upper and lower case characters as well as 7 operational icons for status information.
Channel, bank, tone code, and scanning channel names can be displayed. The F50/F60’s have built-in CTCSS, DTCS, 2-Tone and 5-Tone signaling capability and are MDC 1200 compatible. You can set up selective calls to individuals or control a repeater.
Also built in is an inversion type voice scrambler for secure communications. 7 buttons can be programmed to meet specific needs and the [Red] button on the top panel can be assigned as an emergency trigger. Intrinsically safe versions of the portable radios are available for use in hazardous areas where flammable liquids or gases may be present.
