Alpha Legend Plus Pager

The Alpha Legend Plus is a synthesized 4-Line Alphanumeric Pager that operates with 12.5 kHz narrowband channel spacing. The 4-Line LCD can display 20 characters per line and 80 characters per screen. Switching to the 2-Line zoom feature increases the size of the characters for easier reading and displays 10 characters per line. 19 personal messages can be stored in memory and 10 of these can be protected from replacement if memory becomes full. Personal messages can contain up to 2025 characters and maildrop messages can contain 5052 characters. A total of 32,000 characters maximum can be stored in pager memory.

The Legend Plus uses the POCSAG coding format, operates in the VHF or UHF frequency bands, is powered by a single “AA” standard alkaline battery, and has 16 programmable capcode addresses. On/Off Duty capability is programmable on each address.

Incoming message alert modes available on the Alpha Legend Plus include a standard alert, a vibrating alert, a simultaneous vibrate and audio alert, a vibrate then audio alert, a chirp alert, and no alert or silent. If an audible alert mode is selected by the user or programmed via software, any of 16 alert tone patterns can be selected. If a vibrate mode is selected, continuous or intermittent vibrate patterns can be selected. An escalating alert is also available where the audio alert level increases as the pager alerts.

Pager status can be determined through a number of audio and visual indicators. Some of these indicators are Unread Messages, Out of Range, Graphic Battery Status, Memory Full, Alert Mode Indicator, Message Preview, Duplicate Message Detection, and Important Message Lock.
